Cyrus and Thicke shocked fans nearly one year ago at the 2013 VMAs with a scandalous duet of 'Blurred Lines.' Cyrus soon became known as the twerking queen but Thicke didn't have the same success following the raunchy act.

Its been nearly one year since the twerk heard 'round the world.

Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke took the stage together during the 2013 MTV VMAs at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Aug. 25 for one unforgettable — and controversial — performance.

The dynamic duo blurred all kinds of lines with a shocking and salacious rendition of Thicke's hit summer jam.

The then-20-year-old “We Can’t Stop” singer raised plenty of eyebrows when she did the now-infamous hip-thrusting dance move up against the married 37-year-old while she donned a flesh-toned bra and underwear.

While fans may never be able to look at a foam finger the same way again, Cyrus' career and personal life boomed following the racy display as Thicke's headed in quite a different direction.

PERFORMANCE AFTERMATH

As soon as the bottles popped at the VMAs after-parties, Thicke’s eight-year marriage to longtime love Paula Patton was put to the test.

The singer was caught on camera with his hand on a fan’s behind in an Instagram snap at New York City hotspot 1Oak.

As for Cyrus, she reportedly skipped the post-show festivities to hit the recording studio with hip hop mogul Kanye West.

Rumors swirled that the "Blurred Lines" singer's union with his wife hit the rocks shortly after the media explosion over the scandalous production with Cyrus.
